No more frogging, but the ends are piling up

I am over halfway done with this project! It turned out the last attempt is the final form for this wrap, and I am quite happy to have hit upon it and overjoyed with how it is going. Behold the number of ends I have created!

As you can see, I continued interspersing orangish-yellow flowers amidst the blues and purples. I was a little skeptical about this because orange and yellow are questionable colors that can’t quite be trusted. I left them such that I could remove them if needed, which is what I am telling myself to excuse my complete negligence toward end weaving.

It turns out, I do like these colors together as evidenced by the quilt that Hannah just finished for me. I love this quilt. It has made my bedroom a happier and lighter place for its charming colors and design.

Hannah has a goal to sew as finely as Jane Austen, who sewed at about 12 stitches to the inch on the coverlet she made with her sister. Hannah is at 13 stitches per inch. Take that, Jane!

I did scrap the point to side triangle idea when I saw how narrow the triangle was going to be. Instead, I am going for a sort of isosceles triangle thing. I’ve been very into making that shape lately, and I think it will work very nicely for this wrap because it is big enough to cuddle up in but also has narrow enough ends that you can tie them in front without it being cumbersome. Happy, happy!

I have frogged all of the marled flowers and divided their colors back into separate piles. I hope to use these bits for the half flowers around the edges. I made and attached two of those, and I am happy with their look. I decided to do full half flowers and not make one side flat because that felt a bit tight, besides I felt bad for the flowers being all chopped up like that.

I need to figure out a color for the final border and how to attach it since my empathy for the inanimate flowers made it impossible for me to create a flat, easy to work with edge to add a border to. I wonder how many of my problems are of my own manufacture?
