I did it! I finished all of the parts, they blocked out to the correct size, and I am ready to sew them together. I am so close. I am going to finish this project this month and then never, ever think of it again. In several months, I will like it again, but that time is not now. Now is the time I am sick of seeing it and ready to start new projects.

While the pieces of the wrap were quietly blocking to themselves, I did get to work on other projects, which was wonderful. I am still making a circle everyday, but I also got to work on Adia’s swatch-cowl and her wrap. I got to make a few squares for my weird, and as yet undetermined but will be made of squares, project. I did a row of Hannah’s wrap and we decided on the border, which will be much smaller so I should have enough yarn left over from the original border plan to make a scarf. And I started making some cute Honeybee Hexagons from Cherry Heart. (You can find them here: Honeybee Hexagons

Yes, it’s another project, but in all fairness I cleaned up my work space and the yarn was looking at me in an especially pleading way. I had to use it. I don’t know what the hexagons will be yet, but they will be awesome when they get there.

What I did not do was start the name doily I promised my cousin’s bride that I would make for their wedding in June. I have time. I will start it. The wedding is months away. Well, closing in on two months if you count the days.

I think I need to assign myself a project that must be finished every month. This month it is my mother’s shawl. Next month it is going to be the name doily. I swear. Next month, I will start the name doily.

Happy crafting!
